  • May 15th 9am-12pm Service at CRKC! Email Ms. G (mgirardin@cristoreykc.org ) if you will attend! Lunch provided!
  • Youth Volunteer Corps Upcoming Events: REGISTER HERE
  • Volunteer with Cultivate KC - from working in the field, staffing events, to assisting in the office.    
    • Contact Dan@cultivatekc.org or fill out the form on their website.
  • Volunteer with Sherwood Autism Center
    • Contact kderohanian@sherwoodcenter.org or fill out the form on their website.
  • Join young adults at OLPH Parish volunteering together at Redemptorist Social Services
    • Call the parish office to ask when they are organizing next 816-561-3771. 
  • Volunteer with the YMCA of Greater Kansas City.
  • Volunteer with a group of friends at Jerusalem Farm.
  • Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City.
  • Volunteer at your church or community center.

Service that can be completed at school

On your own:
  • Tutoring session with classmates before the buses come (adult present).
  • Assisting a teacher before or after school to clean and organize class materials with safety precautions in place.
  • Wiping down tables during the passing period.
With a group:
  • Work with your Pride group on a service project like making decorations for a holiday or encouraging messages to be sent or posted for the school.
  • Get involved with local organization First Hand by assembling blankets or care kits.

Service that can be completed at home

Household
  • Taking care of your younger siblings or neighbors
  • Tutoring your siblings
  • Preparing food for people in your house
  • Calling grandparents or other elderly family members
School Community
  • Making videos expressing gratitude to teachers and staff.
  • Making videos with positive uplifting messages for CRKC community.
  • Make videos or write a reflection about how you are living out your faith in action and to share with the CRKC community.
  • Written reflection of what this experience has been like at home, how this experience has been, what are you doing to keep yourself engaged-- intellectually, physically, and spiritually.
Local Community
  • Writing thank you emails or notes for essential workers
    • In the email, Cc or Bcc your teacher so he/she can confirm those hours.
  • Writing letters to the elderly in a care facility.  E-mail the letters to the care facility.

  • Make masks to be donated
  • Get involved with local organization First Hand by assembling blankets or care kits.
